The games are coming thick and fast, both domestically and on the continent, following the international break as the Premier League begins to take shape.

Tottenham Hotspur finally got off the mark at the seventh time of asking on Monday night, as Roberto De Zerbi oversaw a 3-1 win over Coventry City. The division’s top three - Manchester City, Arsenal and Brighton & Hove Albion - all picked up maximum spoils, getting the better of Ipswich Town, Nottingham Forest and Crystal Palace, respectively.

And with gameweek seven of the 2026/27 Premier League season in the books, we run through the creative stat leaders from the weekend’s action.

Premier League Assists: Big money Liverpool duo among those to shine

Having both gotten on the scoresheet in the 6-3 win over LASK last week, both Florian Wirtz and Bradley Barcola were on hand to assist in Liverpool’s 2-1 win at Brentford.

The big money Reds pair have come in for criticism in recent weeks but looked the part as Andoni Iraola oversaw victory in west London.

Wirtz and Barcola were two of 19 players to register an assist in gameweek seven, while no player provided multiple assists across the weekend’s action.
