  • Wolves' relegation to the Championship was confirmed on Monday

  • Tottenham are yet to win a league game in 2026

  • Recommended bet: Over 3.5 goals

Wolves' relegation, which has looked inevitable for most of the season, was finally confirmed by West Ham's draw at Crystal Palace on Monday.

However, some of their recent home results will encourage them that they can be positive when troubled Tottenham head to Molineux.

Wolves have beaten Liverpool and Aston Villa and drawn with Arsenal at their Black Country base, while the prospect of joining them in the Championship is looking very real for Tottenham, who have five games to save themselves.

Team news

Yerson Mosquera is suspended for Wolves, while goalkeeper Jose Sa's shoulder injury will be assessed.

Sam Johnstone and Enso Gonzalez are out while Ladislav Krejci, Angel Gomes and Matt Doherty are doubtful.

James Maddison's return to the squad has been a big boost for new Tottenham manager Roberto De Zerbi.

However, he is still without Wilson Odobert, Mohammed Kudus, Dejan Kulusevski, Cristian Romero, Guglielmo Vicario and Ben Davies.

The stats

  • Both teams have scored in four of Tottenham's last six away league matches

  • Over 2.5 goals has been a winning bet in six of Tottenham's last eight Premier League games

Prediction

Wolves have been bottom of the Premier League for virtually the whole season and their relegation at the start of the week was no surprise.

But while they have suffered heavy defeats at West Ham and Leeds in their last two matches, there has been enough in their home performances to suggest they can cause Tottenham plenty of problems on Saturday.

Rob Edwards' side have beaten Liverpool and Aston Villa in recent weeks, while title challengers Arsenal were held to a 2-2, so despite Tottenham's desperate need for points, there is no guarantee they will claim a full return from their trip to the basement boys.

Spurs are two points from safety with the teams that were regarded as their main relegation rivals, West Ham, Nottingham Forest and Leeds, all finding strong form in the last few weeks, so there is real concern they may be relegated for the first time since 1977.

Their defence has looked shaky for most of the season and they have conceded fewer than two goals in just two of their last 12 matches.

They have to go on the front foot as games are running out, so while the quality on show may not be great, there could still be plenty of goals.
