  • West Ham are winless in their last seven home league games

  • Palace have lost two of their last 17 Premier League away matches

  • Recommended bet: Crystal Palace to win

Crystal Palace are one of only three teams in the Premier League, alongside leaders Liverpool and Chelsea, yet to taste defeat this season and they should be confident of keeping that unbeaten record intact at a wavering West Ham.

The Eagles have played out three draws across those four top-flight fixtures, but they have saved their best two performances for the road, building on a goalless draw at Stamford Bridge with an impressive 3-0 victory over Aston Villa.

West Ham, in stark contrast, have suffered three defeats in four and pressure is already mounting on manager Graham Potter due to the manner of their early-season setbacks.

The Hammers have folded without a trace in their two games at the London Stadium, enduring a 5-1 hiding at the hands of the Blues before an equally disappointing 3-0 reverse to Tottenham.

Team news

The Hammers must do without the services of the suspended Tomas Soucek, who received a straight red card in last Saturday’s 3-0 defeat at home to Spurs, while young Brazilian forward Luis Guilherme sustained an injury in the same game.

For Palace, they are still missing Cheick Doucoure, Caleb Kporha, Eddie Nketiah, Chadi Riad and Ismaila Sarr, while Adam Wharton requires a late fitness test.

The stats

West Ham have lost four of their last six Premier League meetings with Crystal Palace, winning just one and the Eagles are unbeaten in their last six Premier League visits to the London Stadium.

The Irons are winless in their last seven Premier League home games, conceding eight goals in the two defeats they have endured at the London Stadium this season.

Palace have lost just two of their last 17 Premier League away matches.

Since Oliver Glasner's first league game in charge in February 2024, only Arsenal (24) and Manchester City (21) have more clean sheets than the Eagles (19).

Palace are unbeaten in 10 league matches, having recorded five shut outs in that period.

Prediction

West Ham have lost three of their opening four Premier League matches, leaking 11 goals in the process and manager Potter has a tough job on his hands to transform their fortunes.

The Hammers seem to cave once they fall behind and that was the case in both home games as they lost 5-1 to Chelsea before suffering a 3-0 loss to Spurs.

Palace may not adopt the forward quality of those two sides, but they are extremely well organised under Glasner, highlighted by last season’s FA Cup success and their current 10-game unbeaten run in the Premier League.

An injury to Sarr is a big blow, but Palace have kept three clean sheets in four league games and one goal may be enough to land the spoils given West Ham's current lack of belief.
