A run of one win in six Premier League games has seen Tottenham slip to 14th
Spurs are still 13 points better off than 18th-placed rivals West Ham, though
Recommended bet: Both teams to score
Nuno Espirito Santo won eight of his 17 games during a short managerial spell with Tottenham in 2021 and while that was a disappointing return, he has come nowhere near replicating it at West Ham.
The Portuguese has won just two of his 17 matches with the Hammers and 10 Premier League games without a win means they are firmly in the drop zone and staring down the barrel at relegation.
However, Nuno’s former side are not exactly faring much better, with Spurs in a lowly 14th with the pressure beginning to build on manager Thomas Frank, suggesting the pair’s Saturday showdown could be an open one as desperation grows in both camps at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Team news
Tottenham’s injury list is made up of Mohammed Kudus, Rodrigo Bentancur, James Maddison, Dejan Kulusevski, Pape Sarr and Richarlison but Frank is hopeful Lucas Bergvall will be available.
There are some positives, though. Captain Cristian Romero is back from suspension, Yves Bissouma has returned from the Africa Cup of Nations and new signing Conor Gallagher could make his debut.
West Ham will be hoping Mateus Fernandes and Konstantinos Mavropanos pass fitness tests but they will certainly be without AFCON finalist El Hadji Malick Diouf and Lucas Paqueta’s future remains uncertain — the Brazilian is pushing for a move back to Flamengo and has reportedly been training on his own.

Prediction
Given their pedigree as defensive coaches, it is surprising to see how porous Frank’s Tottenham and Nuno’s West Ham have been in recent weeks, with both leaking goals for fun.
The Hammers have yet to keep a clean sheet under the Portuguese tactician while Spurs have managed only two in their last seven games and were beaten 3-2 by out-of-form Bournemouth in their last league outing.
Tottenham were comfortable 3-0 winners in September’s reverse fixture but they were aided by Tomas Soucek’s dismissal in the early part of the second half and new striker signings Pablo Felipe and Taty Castellanos mean West Ham have a bit more firepower this time.
Both teams have scored in seven of the last nine head-to-heads and, with these rivals each desperate for a win, the goals should flow in north London.
