  • Tottenham are winless in 12 Premier League games

  • Forest have won their last three meetings with Spurs

  • Recommended bet: Nottingham Forest to win

With just one point separating Tottenham and Nottingham Forest, who are outside the relegation places on goal difference alone, this is a defining fixture in the battle for Premier League survival.

Things have gone from bad to worse for Tottenham since last season’s Europa League triumph while Forest have also struggled to balance their European campaign with domestic duties.

Injuries have again wreaked havoc for Spurs this season and supporters will be banking on Wednesday’s 3-2 home win over Atletico Madrid in the second leg of their Champions League exit to spark a revival.

However, Tottenham have the worst home record in the Premier League this season and the Tricky Trees have been buoyed by reaching the Europa League quarter-finals with Thursday’s penalty shootout success at Midtjylland.

Team news

Joao Palhinha, Conor Gallagher and Lucas Bergvall are available again to bolster Tottenham’s midfield options and Micky van de Ven is back from suspension.

Richarlison is available after being banned in the Champions League and Destiny Udogie has returned from injury, but Ben Davies, Mohammed Kudus, Rodrigo Bentancur, Wilson Odobert, Yves Bissouma, James Maddison and Dejan Kulusevski are still sidelined.

Willy Boly, Jair Cunha, Chris Wood, Nicolo Savona and John Victor are all out for Forest and Dilane Bakwa must be assessed having come off with a knock in Thursday’s win at Midtjylland.

The stats

Spurs have lost their last three Premier League games against Nottingham Forest, who won December’s home fixture 3-0.

Tottenham are winless in 12 Premier League games and are the only side without a top-flight win in 2026.

Spurs have won only two of their 15 home league games, picking up only 10 points.

Both teams have scored in nine of Tottenham’s last 10 home fixtures.

Nottingham Forest manager Vítor Pereira is unbeaten in his three Premier League games against Tottenham.

Each of Forest’s last five away games have gone over 2.5 goals.

Prediction

Tottenham have a stronger look to their squad now than they have had for much of the season but they have not won in the league since a 1-0 success at Crystal Palace on December 28 and only two wins in 15 home league outings paints a worrying picture.

The size and reputation of Tottenham plays a large part in the prices of this fixture and Forest have players capable of mixing it with them.

Making the quarter-finals of the Europa League shows Forest’s capabilities and they did draw 2-2 at Manchester City in their last away game.

Forest were also extremely unfortunate in a 1-0 defeat at home to Liverpool at the end of February, a match in which they won the shot count 18-10 and conceded seven minutes into stoppage time.

If Tottenham concede first then there must be a concern as to whether they have the character and fight to turn it around and Forest did ease to a 3-0 success in December’s reverse fixture.
