Saturday’s early kick-off from the Premier League on September 5th pits Newcastle against Bournemouth in what should be a tasty lunchtime tussle at St. James’ Park.

Traditionally, 12:30 pm kick-offs have been given a wide berth by punters, with matches in that timeslot having major acca-busting potential, however, with LiveScore’s Bet Builder offer, early kick-offs in the Premier League have renewed appeal.

Harvey Barnes over 1.5 shots

Most bettors will be drawn to Anthony Elanga and Yoane Wissa in this market, but Harvey Barnes could offer better value. Bournemouth’s opponents seem to be targeting 35-year-old right back Adam Smith this season, with 38% of opposition attacks against the Cherries coming down the left flank. That suggests Newcastle winger Harvey Barnes could see a lot of the ball on Saturday.

Barnes has already had six shots in three appearances in league and cup for the Magpies this term, while the 28-year-old also scored twice when Bournemouth visited Tyneside for an FA Cup clash in January.

Over 3.5 Cards

Newcastle rank joint-first for yellow cards (7) after two rounds of Premier League fixtures, while Bournemouth sit slightly behind with five. Both teams seem to be playing with plenty of aggression against the ball under new managers Matthias Jaissle and Marco Rose, so Saturday’s card count could be high.

Last season, the teams met three times, with six and three cards brandished in their two Premier League encounters, and another six handed out in their FA Cup skirmish in January. If any of the fraying tempers from those fixtures carry over, there should be plenty of needle at St. James’ Park.

James Hill over 1.5 fouls

Bournemouth centre-half Hill has already committed three fouls across two Premier League appearances since the summer, two of which were conceded in one sitting against Man City at the Etihad Stadium.

On Saturday, Hill will be in close proximity to livewire Newcastle forward Yoane Wissa. The in-form 30-year-old is currently the Premier League’s most-fouled player, having won a total of eight free kicks. Wissa’s running power will unsettle most defenders, making Hill an excellent prospect in the foul markets.

Justin Kluivert over 0.5 shots on target

Priced at just shy of evens, Justin Kluivert lurks just behind the favourites in the 0.5 shots on target market, though the Dutchman still deserves your attention. The attacker missed the second half of last season through injury, but he’s already been adding dynamism to the Cherries’ frontline since his comeback.

Kluivert landed a shot on target in Bournemouth’s narrow loss to Man City on the Premier League’s opening weekend and he followed that up with four shots and another two attempts on target in the club’s 1-1 draw with Everton last weekend. Newcastle have conceded the joint-most shots in the division so far alongside Ipswich (44), so Kluivert should have room to threaten on Tyneside.

Nico Gonzalez over 1.5 fouls

Signed to be Newcastle’s new midfield enforcer, Gonzalez offered a taste of what we can expect this season when he was booked after just 13 minutes of his debut against Spurs. The anchorman gave away two free kicks overall before he was withdrawn on 70 minutes to avoid a second yellow.

Gonzalez, who committed 1.55 fouls per 90 minutes in the league for previous club Man City last term, will be tasked with mopping up on turnovers against a fast-breaking Bournemouth side. Players like Evanilson, Alex Scott and Marcus Tavernier, who have been fouled 13 times between them already, provide punch on the break for the Cherries, so Gonzalez might have to reach into his bag of dark arts to stop them.
