Antoine Semenyo has 16 goal involvements for the season
Recommended bet: Antoine Semenyo to score at any time
Man City will expect to return to winning ways when they welcome Wolves to the Etihad Stadium on Saturday, but they are not guaranteed to have things all their own way against the Premier League's bottom club.
City looked to be finding their groove in their familiarly ominous fashion towards the end of the year, winning their final eight matches of 2025.
However, they have triumphed in just two of seven games since the turn of the year, a run that includes losing back-to-back matches against derby rivals Man United in the league and Bodo/Glimt in the Champions League.
Pep Guardiola will expect a response from his side this weekend, but Wolves, if not rejuvenated, have at last found some form and will make the journey north unbeaten in five matches across all competitions.

Team news
City's recent struggles can be put into context something of a lengthy injury list, with Josko Gvardiol, John Stones, Mateo Kovacic, Ruben Dias, Oscar Bobb and Savinho all remaining sidelined for this one.
Matheus Nunes and Nico Gonzalez are doubts and will be assessed ahead of kick-off, but City will at least have January recruit Antoine Semenyo available after he was ineligible for the midweek game in Norway, while fellow new arrival Marc Guehi will make his debut.
Wolves remain without injured trio Jean-Ricner Bellegarde, Toti Gomes and Leon Chiwome, while Tawanda Chirewa is a doubt due to illness.
Jorgen Strand Larsen has started Wolves' last five league matches on the bench but could earn a recall, that is if he has not left the club, with Leeds reportedly having had a bid rejected for the Norway international.
The stats
City won their final eight matches of 2025 across all competitions, but have triumphed in only two of their seven games since the turn of the year.
Erling Haaland has scored in just one of his last eight appearances for the Citizens.
City have won eight of their 11 top-flight home matches this season, with their only domestic defeat at the Etihad coming against Tottenham in August.
Wolves are the only Premier League team yet to win a top-flight away match this season and they have collected just three points and scored five goals from 11 matches on their travels.
Rob Edwards' side are unbeaten in five matches across all competitions and have picked up six points from their last four league fixtures, having only earned two from their opening 18 league assignments.
Wolves did the league double over City in the 2019-20 campaign, but they have only won once in 11 meetings since, losing the other 10.

Prediction
City's form may have stuttered, while Wolves have improved greatly since the turn of the year, but it still feels a stretch to see the Old Gold pick up anything other than pride from this trip to the north west.
Guardiola's side cannot afford any more slip-ups in the title race and should deliver a professional result and performance, but, with City such overwhelming favourites, it may be best to look elsewhere for some value.
With the goals having dried up for a slightly tired looking Haaland over recent weeks, City will hope someone else can step up on Saturday and that man could be new signing Semenyo.
The Ghana international has scored two in three games since arriving from Bournemouth, taking his tally for the season to 12 in all competitions.
Semenyo provided an assist in Bournemouth's victory over Wolves in August and he could go one better in this game, which should go a long way to helping his new side get back on track.
