Andoni Iraola has yet to taste defeat in charge of Liverpool

Liverpool made it two wins on the spin when they saw off Atletico Madrid in the Champions League in midweek and now they quickly readjust back to domestic matters when struggling Fulham visit Anfield on Saturday.

The Reds are still unbeaten since Andoni Iraola took charge and should extend their winning sequence to three in all competitions against Alvaro Arbeloa's men, with the Spaniard returning to Merseyside to take on the club he played for betweeen 2007 and 2009.

Fulham have yet to win under the guidance of the Spanish coach, as they continue to look unsettled by long-serving Marco Silva's exit at the end of last season.

Team news

Liverpool will wait to see if new signing Bradley Barcola is fit after he was taken off against Atletico, although Iraola did say after the game it was just cramp.

Cody Gakpo is a doubt with adductor issues, while Milos Kerkez was also suffering from cramp in midweek but should be fine to start for the hosts, who are definitely still without Hugo Ekitike, Conor Bradley and Giovanni Leoni.

Fulham's injury situation is not as complex with only Tom Cairney definitely ruled out for the visitors.

The stats

Liverpool have yet to lose under Iraola in four games, drawing two and winning two.

Fulham have lost all three league games so far but did beat AFC Wimbledon 3-0 in the Carabao Cup.

Alexander Isak has scored three goals for the Reds this season.

Liverpool have only kept one clean sheet in 2026-27 — the 2-0 win at Ipswich.

The Cottagers have only failed to score in one outing this season — a 1-0 defeat at Sunderland.

Fulham have lost on four of their last five visits to Anfield with their last win there coming in March 2021.

Prediction

Liverpool's start to life under Iraola was not exactly smooth with consecutive 2-2 draws against Newcastle and Nottingham Forest, having to come back in both games late on to snatch a point.

But it has been a lot better than Fulham's new beginning under Arbeloa. The Cottagers have lost all three of their Premier League games to kick off the campaign badly, winning only against AFC Wimbledon in the Carabao Cup.

With the Reds looking much sharper in their last two matches — a 2-0 win at Ipswich and then Wednesday's 2-1 success over Atletico Madrid in Europe — this looks to be a bit of a mismatch based on the current contrasting state of the teams.

Certainly, it looks a big ask for Fulham to get anything from the game with confidence likely to be low in their ranks.

Backing a Liverpool win with both teams scoring looks a good shout, while adding in Alexander Isak to grab his fourth goal of the season and summer signing Victor Munoz to have a shot on target boosts the Bet Builder to 5/1.

Liverpool have only kept one clean sheet in their four outings so far and even though the Cottagers have yet to win, they have at least not had many problems scoring, netting four goals in their three league games, while they also rolled in three in the cup win over the Dons.

And Isak continues to look much sharper this season following his injury-hampered debut campaign. The former Newcastle striker got off the mark against Forest, added two clinical efforts at Ipswich and even though he did not add to his tally in midweek, he was heavily involved in much of his side's quick attacking play.

Munoz, meanwhile, has also impressed this season following his summer move, scoring against Forest, while he recorded a shot on target in a 31-minute substitute appearance in midweek.
