  • Liverpool have scored 17 goals in the last four games against Spurs

  • Tottenham are without a Premier League win in 2026.

  • Recommended bet: Anytime Goalscorer - Hugo Ekitike

It has been a week to forget for Tottenham fans and many will be surprised that interim head coach Igor Tudor remains in charge for Sunday's trip to Anfield to take on Liverpool.

Spurs are now just one point outside the Premier League relegation zone with only nine games remaining and now head to a stadium that hasn’t been a happy hunting ground.

The Reds have won the last six meetings between these two sides and need their own response following a frustrating result in the Champions League in midweek.

Team news

Reds boss Arne Slot has said he is "hopeful" that Alisson will be fit to take his place in goal, after the Brazilian missed Tuesday's 1-0 defeat at Galatasaray.

Federico Chiesa missed the trip to Turkey due to illness, but the Italy international is expected to return to the bench on Sunday.

The game will come too soon for Alexander Isak, who continues to work with the rehab team and is not yet back in full training.

The Lilywhites have been hit by a host of injury issues in recent months, with Cristian Romero and Paulhina the latest absentees.

The two clashed heads in the 5-2 midweek defeat to Atletico Madrid and will miss out due to concussion protocols.

Boss Tudor has also confirmed that Micky van de Ven and Yves Bissouma will not play any part at Anfield, while a late decision will be made on midfielder Conor Gallagher, who has been struggling with illness.

The stats

Tottenham have not won at Anfield since 2011, which is 14 Premier League games without a success at Liverpool's home ground.

The Merseysiders have scored no fewer than 30 goals in their last nine meetings with Spurs, across all competitions.

Spurs have conceded 17 goals on their last four visits to Anfield.

Hugo Ekitike scored in Liverpool's 2-1 win at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium back in December.

There have been over 2.5 goals in eight of the last nine meetings between the Reds and the Lilywhites.

Prediction

Tudor admits it is a "big challenge to change things" at Tottenham, especially when you consider the players currently missing from the squad.

With their two first-choice centre-backs absent, Liverpool striker Ekitike will feel he can take full advantage and add to his 11 league goals this term.

You have to go back to New Year's Day for the last time Spurs kept a clean sheet in the league, in a goalless draw at Brentford.

Frenchman Ekitike bagged the second in the Reds' win in the reverse fixture and it is worth noting that the former Eintracht Frankfurt man has scored seven of his league goals at Anfield.
