Manchester City play their first fixture since being found guilty of breaching Premier League financial regulations on Sunday as they face a tough trip to Liverpool, who have more reason than most to feel aggrieved by the findings.
City have made a perfect start to the new season under new boss Enzo Maresca but it remains to be seen how the circumstances the club now finds itself in will impact performances on the pitch.
New Liverpool manager Andoni Iraoloa has also guided his side to an unbeaten start, although they are yet to win at home in the league with two points from as many games.

Team news
Liverpool may be without top scorer Alexander Isak as he withdrew from the Sweden squad with a thigh injury. Fellow forward Cody Gakpo is also a concern as he picked up an ankle issue while on international duty with the Netherlands.
Man City also have concerns over their leading marksman as Erling Haaland suffered from fatigue while playing for Norway and requested to be substituted. The expectation is that he will be available for Sunday’s game, however.
Need to know
Manchester City hold a three-point lead at the top of the Premier League table but potentially face a record points deduction, or other sanctions.
Liverpool’s last home defeat in a domestic fixture was a 2-1 Premier League loss to Man City in February.
Prediction
Manchester City face a turbulent period but they have been dealing with uncertainty for some time. In terms of what we have seen from City so far this season on the pitch, they look ready to launch a title challenge once again under Maresca and are capable of claiming three points at Anfield.
Liverpool are still a bit of a work in progress under Iraola and they are yet to produce a truly eye-catching performance. The Reds have been held to draws at home by Nottingham Forest and Fulham, and City are clearly a step up in class. The visitors won all three meetings between these sides last season and can make it four in a row on Sunday.
Rayan Cherki has three goals to his name after five games and has also recorded two assists. The Man City star also had two assists and a goal for France during the break and he can make a key contribution on Merseyside.
Milos Kerkez has three yellow cards in seven games across all competitions for Liverpool and was booked twice for Hungary in the Nations League. Kerkez is a strong candidate to get a card.
