  • Both teams have scored in 10 of Leeds' last 12 league matches

  • There have been 30 goals in Leeds' last eight Premier League games

  • Recommended bet: Over 3.5 goals

A punishing December schedule could have defined Leeds' season for all the wrong reasons, but four points from games against Liverpool and Chelsea and another at Brentford last weekend has shifted the mood around Elland Road.

It has also helped Leeds move three points clear of the relegation zone and they will aim to improve their outlook further at home to Crystal Palace, who were in Conference League action on Thursday night.

Team news

Leeds boss Daniel Farke said on Thursday that injured pair Sean Longstaff and Lukas Nmecha were progressing well with their rehab but would still miss out against the Eagles.

Wales international winger Dan James is a long-term absentee for the Whites.

Oliver Glasner made sweeping changes for Palace's 2-2 draw with Finnish side KuPS in the Conference League on Thursday night and has said he will field an entirely different starting XI at Elland Road.

That said, Ismaila Sarr has linked up with Senegal for the Africa Cup of Nations and Daichi Kamada, Daniel Munoz, Rio Cardines, Cheick Doucoure and Chadi Riad are all injured.

The stats

Leeds have collected three-quarters of their Premier League points tally at Elland Road, 12 of 16.

Both teams have scored in 10 of Leeds' last 12 league outings and Dominic Calvert-Lewin has netted in each of the Whites' last four games.

Crystal Palace have won 10 league games on the road in 2025, the highest number of any Premier League club.

Only league leaders Arsenal (10) have conceded fewer league goals than the Eagles (15) this season.

Prediction

Earlier this season questions were being asked whether Leeds could score from open play, but fast forward a few months and they cannot stop finding the back of the net.

Farke's men have scored half of their 20-goal league haul in their last five matches and the German's decision to switch to a 3-5-2 formation at half-time against Man City a few weeks ago has breathed life into their survival bid.

Leeds have beaten Chelsea 3-1 and drawn 3-3 with champions Liverpool at Elland Road since Farke's tactical switch and drew 1-1 at Brentford last Sunday, when three points were there for the taking.

With West Ham playing at Man City earlier on Saturday, Leeds may have the chance to move six points clear of the bottom three with a win over Palace, so there is real incentive for them to be positive.

Palace are also unlikely to be shy in coming forward as they attempt to build on an excellent 2025.

Any reservations about fatigue in the Eagles camp due to a 48-hour turnaround from Thursday's Conference League clash were allayed by Glasner leaving all his first-choice players on the bench and there is enough quality in the Palace ranks to trouble a Leeds defence which has not kept a clean sheet since a goalless draw at home to Newcastle in late August.

Take a chance on at least four goals at Elland Road on Saturday evening.
