Thierno Barry over 0.5 shots on target

Everton’s French forward has been averaging 3.94 shots and 1.43 shots on target per 90 minutes in the Premier League so far this season, and Barry also tops the pile for the Toffees for total accurate attempts registered (8).

The 23-year-old has landed at least one shot on target in seven of his eight domestic appearances for Everton in league and cup since the summer, and he has the attributes to find space against a generous Chelsea backline.

Xabi Alonso’s Blues have conceded more shots on target in the league this term (36) than any other team in the division, so Barry should have room to test Emi Martinez at least once.

Emiliano Martinez over 2.5 saves

Our second selection is centred around Chelsea’s stopper. The veteran has been one of the Premier League’s busiest keepers this season and only two goalies have made more saves than Martinez (21) since the start of the fresh campaign.

The 34-year-old was forced into action three times by Bournemouth last weekend and that was the fourth time in as many Premier League starts for Chelsea where Martinez made 3+ saves. The former Villa number one isn’t as protected as well as he should be by a loose Blues backline, so his reflexes could be tested multiple times again by Everton.

Harrison Armstrong over 1.5 fouls

The Toffees teen starlet brings energy to Everton’s midfield, though sometimes his enthusiasm and inexperience can lead to mistimed challenges and the 19-year-old has conceded more free kicks (9) than any of his teammates in the Premier League this season.

The boyhood Evertonian and academy graduate seems to play with extra zeal on Merseyside and Harrison has committed six fouls across three runouts since the summer at the Hill Dickinson Stadium. His combative streak could put him on the referee’s radar again on Saturday.

Morgan Rogers over 0.5 shots on target

The £117m summer signing has looked the part for Chelsea, forming a lethal attacking trident with Cole Palmer and Joao Pedro. Rogers ranks joint-first for total shots (17) and shots on target (6) in the Premier League for the Londoners since the start of the season, so expect him to threaten Everton’s goal.

The England international clocked 1+ shots on target in each of his last four league starts for the Blues and scored in three of the same games. The confident attacking midfielder is playing with a real swagger and he’s likely to be accurate if he gets a sight of goal on Saturday.

Joshua Acheampong over 1.5 fouls

Acheampong already looks like an accomplished defender at the age of just 20, though his temperament and timing will be given a thorough test on Saturday. The youngster has been deployed as the furthest-right member of Chelsea’s back three by head coach Xabi Alonso, and if he reprises that role against Everton, he could be guarding the channel against Jack Grealish.

Grealish remains one of the league’s prime foul-drawing experts. The winger has started each of the Toffees’ last three fixtures in league and cup, and drew 2+ fouls on each occasion. The 31-year-old has been drawing 3.33 fouls per 90 minutes in the Premier League overall this term, and Grealish’s knack could make life awkward for Acheampong.
