Crystal Palace vs Burnley predictions: More pain likely for struggling Clarets

Crystal Palace ended nine-game winless run in the league with victory at Brighton on Sunday
Burnley have not won in the top flight for 16 games
Recommended bet: Crystal Palace to win to nil
Crystal Palace secured a much-needed win at rivals Brighton on Sunday and they can follow up by seeing off relegation-threatened Burnley at home on Wednesday.
The Eagles had endured a dismal 2026 before the weekend trip to the south coast, but the 1-0 victory in the M23 derby finally ended a 12-game winless run in all competitions.
Burnley are staring at relegation after Saturday's home defeat to West Ham left them 11 points off safety.
Team news
Palace remain without Jean-Philippe Mateta, Eddie Nketiah, Caleb Kporha, Rio Cardines and Cheick Doucoure, who are all still injured.
Justin Devenny is likely to be available, though, and January signing Jorgen Strand Larsen is poised to start up front.
The visitors also have plenty of players in the treatment room with Jordan Beyer, Connor Roberts, Josh Cullen, Mike Tresor and Zeki Amdouni all ruled out.
The stats
Palace have won their last three Premier League meetings between the sides by an aggregate score of 6-0.
The Eagles won 1-0 at Turf Moor in the reverse fixture in December.
Palace have not lost a home Premier League game against opponents in the relegation zone since a 4-0 defeat to Sunderland in February 2017.
Burnley have only won one of their 12 away league games this season.
Burnley's winless run in the top flight now stands at 16 matches.

Prediction
Up until the derby victory over Brighton at the weekend, it had been an awful start to 2026 for Palace.
Losing key defender Marc Guehi to Manchester City on top of boss Oliver Glasner confirming he will leave at the end of the season had led to suggestions the Eagles could end up in the relegation scrap.
However, the win at the Amex leaves them nine points clear of the bottom three and they look set to pick up another important three points when second-bottom Burnley visit Selhurst Park.
The Clarets look to be fighting a losing battle to try and stay up with the defeat to the Hammers, who are just above them in the table, particularly damaging.
Scott Parker's side have won only once on the road in the top flight all season and after failing to score in their last two outings, their lack of firepower could cost them dearly in midweek again.
