Chelsea looking to build upon wins over Bournemouth and Everton
Tottenham have just one Premier League win to their name this term
Spurs have won on just one of their last 41 visits to Stamford Bridge
There was plenty of relief at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Monday when Roberto De Zerbi’s team finally got their first league win of the season against promoted Coventry, but they will have to defy history to back that up with another success at Chelsea.
Spurs have claimed just one win at Stamford Bridge since 1990 and they take on a team who have been playing some sparkling football under new manager Xabi Alonso.
Keeping a rampant Chelsea attack at bay will be no easy task, as both Bournemouth and Everton discovered in recent league outings.

Team News
Reece James is out following a knee operation and goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez has a fractured jaw. Hopes are high that Malo Gusto has recovered from a virus, but Emmanuel Emegha is doubtful.
Rodrigo Bentancur is suspended after his red card at Manchester United, but Pedro Porro and Destiny Udogie could both be involved. Savio and Lucas Bergvall are out while Wilson Odobert and Xavi Simons are long-term absentees.
Need to know
After a couple of underwhelming Premier League campaigns, Chelsea look to have found their groove under Xabi Alonso and they are playing some of the best football in the top flight.
New signing Morgan Rogers has linked well with Cole Palmer and Joao Pedro in attack and Alonso will be delighted that his team, who headed into the weekend in fourth, claimed their first clean sheet of the season in last week’s 2-0 win at Everton.
Tottenham finally got over the line with a 3-1 win over Coventry on Monday, but it has been a difficult start to the campaign for Roberto De Zerbi’s side and they also have to deal with a poor record at Stamford Bridge, despite the morale-boosting success against the Sky Blues.
Prediction
There have been 17 goals in Chelsea’s three home Premier League games this season, so it seems sensible to look at the goals markets in what promises to be an entertaining clash at Stamford Bridge.
Four of the Blues’ seven games have featured at least four goals and the same can be said of three of Tottenham’s last four outings, so over 3.5 in this one appeals.
Do not be surprised if Morgan Rogers scores one of them. He has notched four times in seven games as he has seamlessly moved to Chelsea from Aston Villa and the England forward is capable of adding to his account.
James Maddison’s return from injury has been a boost for Tottenham and, after he scored the opener against his former side Coventry on Monday, he can have a shot on target, which he has achieved in three of his last four appearances.
