Chelsea vs Bournemouth predictions: Blues to pile more misery on beleaguered Cherries

Chelsea are unbeaten in their last eight matches against Bournemouth (W4, D4)
Bournemouth are without a win in nine matches
Recommended bet: Chelsea to win & both teams to score
Two out-of-form sides will meet at Stamford Bridge in the Premier League on Tuesday as Chelsea entertain Bournemouth.
The Blues have won just two of their last eight in all competitions and saw their fading title hopes all but disappear after they were beaten 2-1 by Aston Villa on Saturday, a match in which they had taken the lead.
The Cherries' form is even poorer as they are without a win in nine, a run that has seen them slip from second in the standings into the bottom half.

Team news
Chelsea are sweating over the fitness of left-back Marc Cucurella, who was forced off with a hamstring issue in the defeat to Villa, but Liam Delap and Estevao did return from their own recent injuries and are now pushing for starting roles.
Bournemouth remain without injured pair Ben Gannon-Doak and Tyler Adams, but manager Andoni Iraola may ring the changes following Saturday's 4-1 loss at Brentford, with David Brooks, Evanilson and Justin Kluivert all pushing for returns to the starting XI.
The stats
These two sides played out a 0-0 draw when they met at the Vitality Stadium earlier this month, a result that extended Chelsea's unbeaten run against the Cherries to eight matches.
Bournemouth's last victory over Chelsea was a 1-0 success at Stamford Bridge in December 2019 — Dan Gosling scoring a late winner that day.
The Cherries have gone nine matches without a win since beating Nottingham Forest at the end of October.
Bournemouth's only away win of the season came at Tottenham in August, but they have scored in all but one of their nine road fixtures.
Chelsea have scored in 11 successive home games across all competitions since a goalless draw with Crystal Palace on the opening weekend of the season.

Prediction
Chelsea's form has not been great over recent weeks — their only wins across their last eight games have come against Everton in the league and Cardiff in the Carabao Cup — but they did play well for large parts of their defeat to in-form Villa last time out and should have too much for a beleaguered Bournemouth.
The Cherries look a shadow of the side that were being touted as Champions League contenders earlier in the season and they have conceded more goals on their travels than any other Premier League team, letting in 27 in nine matches.
Bournemouth do tend to score on their travels — only Villa have stopped the Cherries from netting on the road this season — and they will be confident of maintaining that record against a Blues team who have kept just one clean-sheet in their last five.
Enzo Maresca's side should prove too strong for the visitors overall, however and are fancied to sign off in 2025 with a victory.
