Relegation-threatened Burnley can pose Brentford problems when the two sides meet at Turf Moor in the Premier League on Saturday.

The Clarets are second bottom, eight points from safety, but have picked up several good results in 2026 and will be confident of giving a good account of themselves against the Bees.

Keith Andrews' side are pushing for a European place, but must bounce back from last week's 2-0 home defeat at the hands of Brighton.

Team news

The Clarets' injury list remains lengthy with Zeki Amdouni, Jordan Beyer, Josh Cullen, Connor Roberts, Mike Tresor and Axel Tuanzebe all still on the sidelines.

Striker Armando Broja is closing in on a return and will be assessed.

Brentford are without long-term injury victims Fabio Carvalho, Josh Dasilva and Antoni Milambo, while Michael Kayode and Aaron Hickey are doubtful for the visitors.

The stats

Brentford have won three of the last four meetings between the sides.

Burnley triumphed the last time they squared off at Turf Moor, though, winning 2-1 in March 2024.

Burnley have picked up draws this year against Manchester United, Liverpool, Tottenham and Chelsea.

The Clarets have won just twice at home in the league all season, while the Bees have won six of their last seven away matches in all competitions.

Prediction

Burnley have shown plenty of fighting spirit lately and, even though they look likely to still go down, Scott Parker's side can make things difficult for top-six-chasing Brentford on Saturday.

The Clarets earned a 1-1 draw at Chelsea last weekend and have also picked up points against Liverpool, Spurs and Man Utd since the turn of the year.

They may end up on the losing side when Brentford visit Turf Moor, but look good enough to go in level at half-time.

The Londoners were disappointing when they lost 2-0 to an out-of-form Brighton last week, a result which ended their four-game unbeaten run.

Andrews' side are eyeing a European spot this season, though and should edge this clash, coming on strong in the second period.
