Liverpool head coach Andoni Iraola returns to his former club, Bournemouth, on Sunday.

Liverpool are unbeaten in their four Premier League matches this term, but a 2-0 success at promoted Ipswich is the only win they have posted and manager Andoni Iraola would love to make a triumphant return to Bournemouth on Sunday.

The Cherries have returned from Spain where they claimed a 2-1 win over Real Sociedad in the Europa League, but they have also had the odd frustration since the start of the season, drawing both of their home games, against Everton and Brentford.

Team news

Julian Araujo is out with a thigh injury, while Eli Kroupi, Amine Adli and Veljko Milosavljevic will also be missing for the Cherries.

The game is likely to come too early for the Reds' Italian forward Federico Chiesa, who is struggling with a back injury, while Giovanni Leoni, Hugo Ekitike and Conor Bradley remain sidelined.

The stats

Both teams have scored in Bournemouth's last six league matches, while Liverpool are unbeaten in their six matches in all competitions this season.

Six of Liverpool's last seven league away games have featured at least three goals and the Reds have scored 15 goals in their last five games against Bournemouth.

Bournemouth's 3-2 home win over Liverpool last season ended a sequence of six defeats to the Reds.

Prediction

There will be plenty of interest directed towards the Vitality Stadium as Iraola returns to Bournemouth for the first time since becoming manager of Liverpool and there looks to be a strong chance his team will play their part in an entertaining clash.

Just one of Liverpool's last seven away league games has failed to generate at least three goals and the Reds have scored twice in five of their six matches this term.

With the Cherries netting ten times in their last four games, including Thursday's memorable 2-1 Europa League victory at Real Sociedad, there looks to be a strong chance that over 2.5 goals will again be a winning bet.

It looks set to be an open affair and it is worth chancing that home midfielder Rayan can have at least three efforts on goal, having had five shots in both of the Cherries' home league games this season, which ended in those draws against the Toffees and the Bees.

Meanwhile, former Bournemouth defender Milos Kerkez may be susceptible to a booking, having been carded three times already this term.

He also picked up a yellow card when these two teams met at Anfield at the beginning of last season.

Score prediction: Bournemouth 1-2 Liverpool
