Bournemouth will be left rueing missed opportunities after taking just two points from their opening three games of the Premier League season.

They led in all three matches but conceding late goals has been an issue for this team for some time and has reared its head again this season.

The Cherries host a Brentford side who also dropped points against Leeds and Sunderland after leading. The visitors do have an excellent record against these opponents, however, a record they will be hoping to add to at the Vitality Stadium on Saturday.

Prediction

Bournemouth and Brentford are key parts of the new wave of teams who have made a big splash in the Premier League in recent years and the pair have already put in some impressive performances to start the new season.

However, they have not picked up as many points as they would have liked and it could be more frustration for the pair when they meet this weekend.

Brentford have a rock-solid record against these opponents, going unbeaten in the last 11 league meetings between the pair, but their recent away form has left a bit to be desired.

The Bees have drawn four and lost two of their last six road trips and a draw is fancied again.

Both teams have scored in 10 of Bournemouth’s last 12 home league games, a trend that can continue on Saturday.

Igor Thiago has the highest expected goals figure of a player yet to find the net in the league this season at 2.30 and the Brentford forward can break his duck on the south coast.

Score prediction: Bournemouth 1-1 Brentford
