Aston Villa have won their last eight home matches
Man City have won seven consecutive Premier League home games
Wolves are on a ten-match losing run
Man City will be aiming for a fifth successive Premier League win when hosting West Ham, while leaders Arsenal are sure to target maximum points away to mid-table Everton.
Newcastle vs Chelsea (Saturday, 12.30pm)
Chelsea head coach Enzo Maresca has complained about a lack of support, but his team seem to be emerging from a sticky spell and they can make it three wins from three by taking maximum points on Tyneside.
The Blues should be stronger with Moises Caicedo available after suspension and they might just have the edge over inconsistent Newcastle, who stayed in the bottom half after a dismal derby defeat to Sunderland.
Score prediction: Newcastle 1-2 Chelsea
Bournemouth vs Burnley (Saturday, 3pm)
Burnley find themselves in deep trouble after seven losses on the bounce, but they can stop the rot with a shock victory on the South Coast.
The Clarets are boosted by the return of first choice full-backs Lucas Pires and Kyle Walker after one-game bans and they have an excellent opportunity against Bournemouth, who have dropped from second to 13th after a seven-game winless run.
Score prediction: Bournemouth 1-2 Burnley
Brighton vs Sunderland (Saturday, 3pm)
The start of the Africa Cup of Nations was always going to be a testing period for Sunderland, who have seen six players leave for international duty.
However, the Black Cats should be absolutely buzzing after their derby triumph over Newcastle and they can share the spoils with Brighton, who must make at least three changes, with Carlos Baleba joining the Cameroon squad and Lewis Dunk and Diego Gomez serving one-match bans.
Score prediction: Brighton 1-1 Sunderland
Man City vs West Ham (Saturday, 3pm)
Man City went through a rotten run at the same stage of last season, but they have found a winning habit in recent weeks and will be keen to maintain the pressure on Arsenal in the title race.
Pep Guardiola's side should seal a routine, albeit unspectacular success, over West Ham, who have picked up draws at Bournemouth (2-2), Manchester United (1-1) and Brighton (1-1) on their last three road trips.
Score prediction: Man City 2-0 West Ham
Wolves vs Brentford (Saturday, 3pm)
Conceding an injury-time goal at Arsenal was another bitter blow for Wolves, who have taken just three points from their last 20 Premier League games.
They showed a bit of fight against the Gunners but must replace two of their back three (Yerson Mosquera and Emmanuel Agbadou) and may have to settle for a point against Brentford, who have lost seven of eight games on their top-flight travels.
Score prediction: Wolves 1-1 Brentford
Tottenham vs Liverpool (Saturday, 5.30pm)
Tottenham have a few questions to answer after their dreadful 3-0 loss at Nottingham Forest and they can find enough improvement to share the spoils with Liverpool.
The Londoners are having a difficult campaign, but the same can be said of the Reds, who have not registered back-to-back league wins since September.
Score prediction: Tottenham 2-2 Liverpool
Everton vs Arsenal (Saturday, 8pm)
Arsenal have been top of the table at Christmas in two of the last three seasons and they can cement their place at the summit by defeating Everton on Merseyside.
The Gunners have taken just two points from their last three road trips, but they can ease to a comfortable victory over the Toffees, who are significantly weakened by an injury to Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and AFCON call-ups for Senegal duo Idrissa Gueye and Iliman Ndiaye.
Score prediction: Everton 0-3 Arsenal
Leeds vs Crystal Palace (Saturday, 8pm)
Leeds have made a strong start to December and can extend their unbeaten sequence to four by defeating Crystal Palace at Elland Road.
Daniel Farke's side have gathered 12 of their 16 points on home turf and they can take advantage of an Eagles side distracted by next Tuesday's EFL Cup quarter-final away to Arsenal.
Score prediction: Leeds 2-1 Crystal Palace
Aston Villa vs Man Utd (Sunday, 4.30pm)
Man United were offensively outstanding and defensively dreadful in Monday's exhilarating 4-4 draw with Bournemouth.
But United’s attacking attributes are reduced by AFCON calls for Amad Diallo and Bryan Mbeumo and their shaky back-line will offer plenty of encouragement to Aston Villa, who can chalk up a tenth successive victory.
Score prediction: Aston Villa 3-1 Man Utd
Fulham vs Nottingham Forest (Monday, 8pm)
Nottingham Forest are making huge progress under Sean Dyche and they can move further away from the danger zone by defeating Fulham at Craven Cottage.
Dyche's side were rampant 3-0 winners at home to Spurs and they can see off a Cottagers side which may struggle to respond after Wednesday's 2-1 loss away to Newcastle in the EFL Cup quarter-finals.
Score prediction: Fulham 1-2 Nottingham Forest
