Nottingham Forest vs Arsenal: Predicted starting 11 for trip to City Ground
Arsenal return to Premier League action as they travel to face Nottingham Forest on Sunday afternoon.
The Gunners defeated Lille 3-0 last time out to maintain their perfect start to their Champions League campaign. Jurrien Timber got his side up and running with a well-executed lob ahead of Eberechi Eze and Bukayo Saka finding the back of the net in quick succession to secure the win.
Mikel Arteta has no fresh injuries to worry about and after making several changes for his side's midweek test, he is likely to revert to full strength for the trip to the City Ground.
Here's how Arsenal could line up against Forest.
Predicted Arsenal lineup vs Nottingham Forest (4-3-3)
Goalkeeper & Defenders
David Raya (GK) - As always, there is nothing stopping him from starting tomorrow.
Jurrien Timber (RB) - His strike and performance against Lille should be enough for him to keep his spot at right back as he bids to become Arteta's first-choice once again.
Ezri Konsa (CB) - With William Saliba still not in line for a return, Konsa will remain the starter on the right side of the central defensive pairing.
Gabriel Magalhães (CB) - His performance against Lille was a drastic improvement on his showing in the win over Leeds and there is absolutely no reason for him to be dropped.
Riccardo Calafiori (LB) - Having been afforded a rest in midweek, Calafiori will no doubt return at left back tomorrow in a bid to continue his brilliant recent form.
Midfielders
Martin Ødegaard (CM) - Brought off the bench to help change the game against Lille, Ødegaard showed how much he is needed for his side and should return to the starting XI this time round.
Bruno Guimarães (CM) - His performance on Tuesday was mixed with solid play in midfield, but showing an indecisive nature in and around the box. However, Guimarães did enough to keep his spot in midfield.
Declan Rice (CM) - Rice ran the show in midweek and he will be eager to do that once again as he starts against Forest.
Forwards
Bukayo Saka (RW) - His goal off the bench in the win over Lille may be the confidence booster he needed to turn his form around and he will be aiming to impress again as he starts on the right flank at the City Ground.
Kai Havertz (ST) - Dropped for Viktor Gyökeres in European action, he was brought on to help his side to victory on Tuesday and that should earn him a return to the starting lineup for this test.
Eberechi Eze (LW) - The right choice to fill in for Christos Tzolis on the left, he showed with his goal that he can perform when he has the best players around him so he should be given another shot tomorrow.
