Nottingham Forest star set for two months out – but striker back in contention
Nottingham Forest boss Oliver Glasner has revealed Nicolas Dominguez is facing up to eight weeks on the sidelines after suffering a setback in his recovery from injury.
Dominguez had returned to training but has now suffered a re-injury.
“Nico Domínguez joined training too but unfortunately he had a setback and suffered a re-injury, and he will be out for up to eight weeks now,” Glasner said.
“It’s really tough but Igor is back and Savona is on the way back.”
There was better news on Igor Jesus, who has returned to full training following a calf problem and could be available to face Manchester City this weekend.
“Igor also trained the full week so far and looks good, with no reaction,” Glasner said.
Nicolo Savona has also returned to team training following a lengthy absence.
“Savona joined the team training today,” Glasner said.
“We managed the load in the sessions because when you have been out for seven months, we have to be careful, but he is on track.
“It looks like he will get some minutes in the friendly during the international break.”
Glasner also provided updates on Dan Ndoye and Daniel Munoz ahead of the City game.
“Dan was ill one day, Dani Muñoz, why he didn’t start at Brentford, he had some issues with his foot but he looks OK and trained this week,” he said.
“Right now the weather is getting colder and the games are increasing. We have some niggles but all others should be available.”
