Newcastle Face Tottenham Competition in January Chase for Wolves Striker Jorgen Strand Larsen

Newcastle would face competition from Tottenham in any race to sign Jorgen Strand Larsen this month, reports ChronicleLive.
The Wolves striker has struggled to hit the heights of his debut campaign, netting just one league goal this season.
However, the Norway international still has his Premier League suitors having struck 14 league goals in the 2024/25 campaign.
Newcastle wanted Larsen over the summer
Newcastle were heavily linked with a move for the 25-year-old over the summer as they sought to bring in a new striker.
The Magpies instead pursued the services of Nick Woltemade and Yoane Wissa of VfB Stuttgart and Brentford, respectively, as a replacement for Alexander Isak, who completed a deadline day move to Liverpool.
And despite Larsen’s disappointing form in front of goal, Newcastle continue to be linked with a move for the former Celta Vigo frontman.
Eddie Howe’s side would face competition from Premier League rivals Spurs should Wolves entertain offers for their leading striker.
Out-of-sorts Spurs would rival Magpies for Norwegian forward
The north London side are expected to dip into the market this month as they look to reinforce their stuttering frontline.
After a bright start to the season, Spurs have struggled in recent months and sit 13th in England’s top tier following a run of two wins from their last 11 league outings.
Thomas Frank’s side have been struggling with injuries this season, with number one striker Dominic Solanke sidelined since August owing to an ankle injury.
With Mohammed Kudus also a absent for the foreseeable future, Spurs are pondering a move for Larsen as they seek to rescue their season.
Spurs will hope to return to winning ways when they make the trip to winless Bournemouth on Wednesday night, the Cherries mired on an 11-game run without victory.
Newcastle, meanwhile, host a Leeds side unbeaten in seven to pull away from danger in midweek, while Wolves will hope to follow up their first league win of the season with another three points when they travel to Everton tonight.
