Neco Williams injury latest after Nottingham Forest defender is forced off against Ipswich
Neco Williams has played down fears over the injury he suffered during Nottingham Forest’s 1-1 draw with Ipswich Town.
The Wales international gave Forest the lead at Portman Road but was forced off late on after falling awkwardly and injuring his arm.
Williams left the pitch with his right arm wrapped in his shirt, prompting concern from head coach Oliver Glasner after the game.
“Neco’s in huge pain,” Glasner said.
“He fell on his elbow. We have to do further assessments but it doesn’t look really good.”
Williams later posted a more positive update on social media, writing: “A game of mixed emotions. Points on board to build on now. Ps I’m all good.”
Forest were also without Nicolas Dominguez for the draw after the midfielder picked up a minor muscle problem.
“Unfortunately he has a minor muscle injury. He could be back next week,” Glasner said.
“We are confident that he will be available against Brentford or at the latest against Manchester City.”
