Milan striker Gonçalo Ramos has suffered a calf injury and will miss Thursday’s Europa League match against Bournemouth.

Milan will have to cope without Gonçalo Ramos in their upcoming Europa League match against Bournemouth, and perhaps beyond.

Gonçalo Ramos injury: latest updates

According to Sky Sport Italia, the Portugal international suffered a calf muscle overload during today’s training session.

The former PSG striker started the training session with the rest of the group but was ‘visibly upset’ afterward, according to a Sky Sport correspondent in Milanello.

Ramos will undergo medical tests tomorrow to assess his injury and determine the recovery time.

It hasn’t been a positive morning for Milan on injury updates, as their winger Samuel Chukwueze has also been ruled out of the Bournemouth clash with a hip injury and could face months on the sidelines.

Ramos’ injury means Italian striker Francesco Camarda will likely start as Milan’s centre-forward against Bournemouth tomorrow, marking his second consecutive Europa League start.

Ramos has scored three goals in nine appearances for Milan across all competitions this season.
