Ruben Amorim Targets German Midfield Maestro Angelo Stiller for Man Utd Rebuild

Manchester United are monitoring Angelo Stiller with a view to making a move for the VfB Stuttgart midfielder next year, reports Sky Sports Germany.
United are keen to bolster in the middle of the park having strengthened between the sticks and in attack over the summer.
The Premier League giants brought in Senne Lammens from Royal Antwerp as a replacement for Andre Onana in goal.
On the frontline, meanwhile, Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo and Benjamin Sesko joined from Wolves, Brentford and RB Leipzig, respectively.
United draw up January midfield wishlist
However, Ruben Amorim was also looking to bring in a new midfielder, with Carlos Baleba previously the top target.
United failed to agree a fee with Brighton for Baleba, and it meant the Cameroon international remained with the Seagulls.
Baleba is believed to be part of a five-man midfield wishlist for United in January, which also includes Adam Wharton, Jobe Bellingham, Morten Hjulmand and Victor Froholdt.
A lack of midfield reinforcements has hindered United in the opening weeks of the season, though they did recently earn back-to-back league wins over Sunderland and Liverpool.
Amorim has favoured to partner captain Bruno Fernandes with the experienced Casemiro yet the rigidity of the duo means United are struggling to build attacks through the middle.
VfB Stuttgart star being monitored
The Portuguese boss is said to be eyeing up a move for a progressive passer in the middle of the park, with Stiller a reported target for the Premier League side.
The German pass master has attracted European interest in recent months, with Real Madrid previously linked with a move for Stiller.
The 24-year-old, who earned his first national team cap last year, has been a mainstay for Stuttgart following his arrival from Hoffenheim in 2023.
Stiller reportedly has a €40m release clause in his Stuttgart contract, which can be activated in 2026.
The Bundesliga side are believed to be looking into the possibility of buying out said clause and would raise the midfielder’s asking price to €50m as they look to maximise their profit on the Germany international.
United midfielder tipped to leave in January
Along with Fernandes and Casemiro, Amorim is able to call upon Manuel Ugarte and Kobbie Mainoo in the United midfield.
Ugarte is struggling to force his way into the starting XI while Mainoo, who was linked with a move away from Old Trafford over the summer, is expected to depart in January.
Serie A side Napoli are reportedly keen on Mainoo as they look to bring another out-of-favour United star to Italy.
The Serie A champions have Scott McTominay, Romelu Lukaku and Rasmus Hojlund on the books, with the trio all key men for Napoli under Antonio Conte.
United are looking to follow up Sunday’s entertaining 2-1 win at Liverpool with victory over Brighton on Saturday as they aim to build up a head of steam between now and the November international break.
