Man Utd Must ‘Break the Bank’ to Keep Bruno Fernandes as Summer Exit Talk Grows

Manchester United will need to break the bank if they are to retain Bruno Fernandes’ services, reports The Mirror.
Fernandes was subject to intense speculation over a move to Al-Hilal last summer but rejected a lucrative offer to move to the Saudi Pro League.
However, the United captain is expected to be linked with a move away from Old Trafford at the end of the season.
Fernandes will wait until summer before deciding future
Fernandes has a little over 12 months left to run on his current United deal, though the club have an option to extend his contract by a further year.
The Portugal international has become disillusioned with how the club is run and the constant managerial upheaval, which has seen the creative star tipped with a summer exit.
As such, Fernandes will wait until the end of the season before deciding his next career move.
United keen to keep captain
United are prepared to grant Fernandes the chance to make his own choice on whether to remain at Old Trafford or depart for pastures new.
The Premier League powerhouse, though, are keen to retain the midfielder’s services but would need to break the bank in order to keep Fernandes at Old Trafford.
United will undergo a midfield revamp this summer with the club already confirming that Casemiro will leave at the end of the season.
Manuel Ugarte’s future at Old Trafford is also uncertain and United are expected to entertain offers for the former PSG man once the campaign draws to a close.
Carrick has made bright start at Old Trafford helm
Now under the watchful eye of Michael Carrick, United have beaten both Manchester City and Arsenal to get their top-four pursuit back on track.
And next up for United is the welcome of in-form Fulham on Sunday afternoon.
