Man City vs Nottingham Forest injury news confirms 3 out and 1 doubt
Manchester City are back in action on Saturday when they face Nottingham Forest in the Premier League. City left it late in the Champions League during the week, defeating RB Leipzig away from home following an Erling Haaland strike.
In the league, City trail leaders Arsenal by three points and hope to close the gap with a win this weekend. Forest, meanwhile, are last but one, having picked up only six points from their first nine games.
Oliver Glasner's Forest club is in particularly poor form, now without a win in five games, and it's no secret how temperamental the Forest owner is, so Glasner will be sitting particularly nervously, and he needs a big result, which he has previously shown he is capable of getting against City.
Manchester City and Nottingham Forest injury updates ahead of Premier League match
Ahead of this weekend's Premier League clash, we have rounded up all the latest injury news surrounding both teams.
Antonio Semenyo - Man City: Out
Semenyo is out until December with a knee issue. Maresca said last week: "He’s good. He’s in a good mood. He’s in the building, doing the recovery sessions and the therapy that he needs, but it’s too early for now."
Igor Jesus - Nottingham Forest: Out
Jesus will not return from his calf injury until after the international break.
Nicolo Savona - Nottingham Forest: Out
Savona will also remain out for a couple more weeks with a knee issue.
Nicolas Dominguez - Nottingham Forest: Doubt
Glasner said last week, "Nicolas is progressing very well. He will train for the first time tomorrow with the team. We will see if it is too early, but he should be fine for City."
Enzo Maresca said after the win against Leipzig, “I am very happy for the fans who were able to be here tonight. Champions League game. Away. Germany. It’s always difficult, so very happy with the three points, especially after a defeat. It’s always important to win the game. Overall, I thought the performance was good."
Let's hope the performance against Nottingham Forest is a good one, too. Health-wise, Man City is in decent shape, so that should keep the club from winning Saturday.
