Tottenham Hotspur is a club built on a lot of proud principles that make it different from the other big Premier League clubs in the digital age, and one of them is an undying belief in young talents with the potential to become special. Some of the best players in the history of this game have gotten their starts with Spurs, including Luka Modric, Gareth Bale, and now reigning Ballon d'Or winner Harry Kane in recent years. It's what makes it so frustrating when a player does get away from Spurs without a real chance and begins to show signs of being special, such as, potentially, striker Will Lankshear over at Middlesborough with his 13 goals in 13 games.

The next big thing currently at N17 is definitely Luca Williams-Barnett. Anyone can tell just by the way he plays the game, sees the game, moves, and takes defenders on that he has that skill, moxie, and overall quality to be a superstar player and the future of both Tottenham and English football as a whole.

Spurs fans were begging Roberto De Zerbi to give LWB a chance after watching him dazzle all preseason long as the most skilled individual of those friendly matches. And De Zerbi finally obliged with the pressure off, giving Williams-Barnett just two official minutes of action in a 2-0 win over Crystal Palace.

Luca Williams-Barnett has to play

But those two minutes were all Williams-Barnett needed to show the entire Premier League that he is ready to take them all by storm as early as this season. He had one spellbinding run in which he cooked the entire right side of the Crystal Palace defense, making them look like traffic cones in Gerard Pique's sad mansion, cooking one after another before delivering a perfect ball to Mohammed Kudus that the Ghanaian forward somehow stumbled over with the entire goal gaping at his feet.

Few were too burned up about the miss and more caught up in the moment of the chance itself. Tottenham Hotspur supporters want to see more and more of Luca Williams-Barnett, because they know from watching players like Harry Kane come up through this team that when you see an academy player this special, you have to play them. You have to keep feeding them. You have to believe in them.

That is the entire ethos of Tottenham. Everything about this club screams for more chances for Williams-Barnett. No, don't throw him in the deep end and screw him over like what Igor Tudor did with Antonin Kinsky, bu do what Roberto De Zerbi already did with that same goalkeeper. Play him. That is the Tottenham Way. De Zerbi seems to get what this club is about already, but Williams-Barnett is a new test for him to keep proving it.
