Leeds United vs Tottenham injury news as 6 ruled out and 3 doubts
Tottenham are back in action on Saturday when they face Leeds United away from home. Spurs are up to ninth following three straight wins, and they have the European spots in their sights, but it's going to take a consistent run of form to take that next step. A win here would be another step in that direction.
Leeds, meanwhile, are five without a win following a solid start to the season, but they are just one point below Tottenham and will be gunning to get back to form here. The Whites are hoping to avoid any sort of relegation battle this season, and they are going the right way about it overall, currently just below mid-table, which will be their expectation come May.
Join us as we round up all the latest injury news surrounding both sides coming into this one.
Mateo Joseph - Out
Joseph is sidelined until the new year as he recovers from an ACL rupture.
Joe Rodon - Doubt
Rodon is likely to be in contention for this weekend. Daniel Farke said before last weekend's game: "He is, since yesterday, part-integrated back in team training, [taking] the next steps in his rehab. He just needs session after session after being out for so long, but [it's] a way better situation than it was last week. So probably too soon for this weekend, but sooner rather than later."
Noah Okafor - Doubt
Okafor is hoping to shake off an adductor issue here.
Gabriel Gudmundsson - Doubt
Gudmundsson is dealing with a knock but may well feature.
James Justin - Out
Justin is also dealing with a knock but may well feature.
Xavi Simons - Out
Spurs won't see Simons until February time as he recovers from his ACL rupture.
Wilson Odobert - Out
Odobert is on a similar timeline, with De Zerbi having said around a week ago: "[He should be back in training] after December. After Christmas. In January, I think. It is a great thing for us."
Savio - Out
De Zerbi has confirmed: "Before the international break, for Tosin and Bergvall. Maybe not from the beginning against Leeds, but available, yes, I hope so. Mudryk and Savio after the international break."
Myhailo Mudryk - Out
The same update as above applies.
Lucas Bergvall - Fit
Bergvall is expected to be available in some capacity, as confirmed above.
Tosin Adarabioyo - Fit
The same update as above applies.
