Leeds triple boost with trio in training ahead of Brentford clash
Leeds United boss Daniel Farke has provided a positive injury update ahead of Sunday’s clash with Brentford, with several key players edging closer to returns.
Ilia Gruev is now in his second week of training with the team following a long-term injury, while Willy Gnonto and Gabriel Gudmundsson are also set to return to team training.
Farke confirmed the pair will join the squad for their first full session since suffering their respective injuries, although the manager will wait to see how they respond before making a decision on their availability.
“Ilia, after his long term injury, is in the second week of training together with the team so he’s edging closer and closer,” Farke said.
“Also some good news on Gnonto and Gudmundsson, as it stands they will join us this afternoon for the first time after their injuries, in team training, and then we have to wait to see how their bodies react.
“We just have two days more or less but definitely good news so as it stands, all players are available.”
