Leeds midfielder could miss Bournemouth game but defender set to return
Leeds boss Daniel Farke says Anton Stach is a doubt for Saturday’s trip to Bournemouth because of a foot injury.
Stach was a doubt for last weekend’s draw with Sunderland before managing to feature off the bench, but will be assessed before a decision is made on his availability.
“Anton Stach is struggling still a bit with his foot injury so, yeah, let’s see,” Farke said.
“I hope it will get better in the next 48 hours. That is a bit of a question mark.”
There was better news elsewhere, with Nico Elvedi back in training after illness and available for selection.
“Nico is way better,” Farke said.
“He is back in training. As it stands, he is available for this game.”
Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Noah Okafor have also trained as normal this week and are expected to be available.
“Also, a good training week for Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Noah Okafor,” Farke said.
“They had a normal training week. It seems if nothing happens, they are also fully available.”
Joe Rodon has also taken another step forward in his recovery and has been partially reintegrated into team training, although the Bournemouth game is expected to come too soon.
“And also some good news with Joe,” Farke said.
“He is since yesterday part-integrated back in team training and the next steps in his rehab right now.
“He just needs session after session after being out for so long but a way better situation than it was last week.
“So probably too soon for this weekend but sooner rather than later.”
