Le Bris on Sunderland injury worry and Talbi’s situation after goalless draw with Leeds
Régis Le Bris has played down concerns over Nordi Mukiele after Sunderland’s 0-0 draw with Leeds United.
Asked about the defender’s condition after he was forced off, the Sunderland boss gave a brief but positive update.
“He’s good now,” Le Bris said.
Le Bris also addressed Chemsdine Talbi’s lack of game time and insisted the winger will get more opportunities, having been introduced as a late substitute on Sunday.
“It started with the UEFA list,” he said.
“It’s a shame because this list is so restrictive that you can’t use all your players.
“It could have been really positive for him and for others as well to get minutes in this competition.
“We started with two wingers, Nilson and Malick.
“We trust them even if sometimes they are struggling.
“I’m sure that Chemsdine will have these opportunities as well and it was a strong choice to give him an opportunity today, in a tight game, really intense, and I thought he could help.
“It can be the case in the future.”
