‘He did an amazing job’ – Jaissle praises Newcastle star after return to winning ways

Matthias Jaissle praised Will Osula after the striker scored in Newcastle United’s 2-0 win over Crystal Palace.

Osula has only recently returned after a lengthy spell out, but Jaissle believes the forward is starting to rediscover his rhythm after opening the scoring.

“Striker’s job, right?” Jaissle said on the youngster remaining patient before taking his chance.

“He did an amazing job, we’re happy that he’s getting back on track.

“He was out for a long time so now physically he’s improving and a player with huge potential.”

Jaissle was also pleased with the belief and togetherness shown by his squad as Newcastle returned to winning ways following back-to-back defeats.

“That was never a question,” he said.

“We’ve had a really good commitment, a really good feeling, they’re believing.

“Trust me, there is a unit definitely (there) to see but wins and victories are helping.

“So we’re happy that we got the three points today.”
