Glasner confirms Nottingham Forest boost for Brentford bout – but forward could miss out
Nottingham Forest boss Oliver Glasner has confirmed Neco Williams is fit and available for Saturday’s trip to Brentford after recovering from the elbow problem he suffered against Ipswich Town.
The Wales international was forced off at Portman Road after an awkward landing, but has trained throughout the week and is ready to feature at the Gtech Community Stadium.
“He trained from day one,” Glasner said.
“He fell on his nerve and he was numb to his fingers and he had a huge pain during the game.
“Everything is settled and he trained the entire week, so he is fine.”
There is less certainty over Dan Ndoye, who is a doubt after feeling fatigue in his hamstring.
“There is a doubt with Dan Ndoye,” Glasner said.
“He felt some hamstring fatigue after the game throughout the week and after returning from Switzerland.
“Let’s see if he can train tomorrow with the team and do well without taking any risk. He will be available and if not, he will miss the game. But he should be fine for City.”
Nicolás Domínguez is also closing in on a return and is due to train with the team for the first time before a decision is made on his involvement.
“Nicolás Domínguez is progressing very well,” Glasner said.
“He will train for the first time tomorrow with the team. We will see if it is too early, but he should be fine for City.”
Nicolò Savona and Igor Jesus remain unavailable.
