“Every time, goal”: Cole Palmer names Erling Haaland as the Premier League’s best player
Cole Palmer has named Manchester City striker Erling Haaland as the best player in the Premier League.
Palmer was asked during an interview with Sky Sports' Saturday Social who he felt the Premier League's top talent was, and named former teammate Haaland as his number one.
Asked what made Haaland the best player in the division, Palmer said: "[He's] Very good. Even at the World Cup for Norway, it's just every time, goal. That's why [he's the best]."
Palmer played alongside Haaland at Manchester City before his move to Chelsea in 2023. The latter has scored 121 goals in 141 league appearances since signing for City from Borussia Dortmund.
The 26-year-old has won three Premier League Golden Boots in four seasons, and is the current leader in 2026/27 with nine goals in nine games. Should he win a fourth Golden Boot this season, Haaland will equal the record held by Thierry Henry and Mohamed Salah.
At international level, Haaland has scored a record 65 goals in just 59 caps for the Norwegian national team.
