Arsenal's 1-0 win away to Liverpool on Sunday evening saw them end a dismal run that saw them go 14 years without a victory at Anfield.

Kai Havertz struck the only goal in the weekend's Premier League headliner when he fired in from Declan Rice's perfectly placed low cross to the back post, a finish that led to the Gunners returning to the top of the table for the first time since mid-September.

Mikel Arteta will be delighted that his side took three points from one of the hardest stadiums to go to in the English top flight while also ending a long-standing hoodoo that has plagued Arsenal since 2012.

As the North Londoners celebrate breaking their Anfield curse, we've taken a look back at every Premier League result during the winless run the Gunners endured on the red half of Merseyside.

Every Premier League result in Arsenal's 14-year winless run at Anfield

Liverpool 5-1 Arsenal (February 2014)

Arsenal's first trip to Anfield after their September 2012 victory saw them embarrassed 5-1 by Liverpool in February 2014.

It was a disastrous start for the Gunners as centre back Martin Škrtel netted in the first and 10th minute to put his side two to the good before Raheem Sterling and Daniel Sturridge added to the scoresheet by the 20th minute.

Sterling joined Škrtel in grabbing a brace with a strike shortly after the break before Mikel Arteta fired in a consolation from the penalty spot with 20 minutes left to play.

Liverpool 2-2 Arsenal (December 2014)

Arsène Wenger's side almost signed off for Christmas with a huge win at Anfield, but a dramatic late equaliser meant they only took a point back to a festive North London.

Philippe Coutinho thought he had given Liverpool a half-time lead at the end of the first-half, but a header from Mathieu Debuchy in stoppage time ensured the two sides went in to the break level.

Arsenal hit the front after the restart when Olivier Giroud fired in from close range, but it was Škrtel who haunted the Gunners again. Just minutes after Fabio Borini had been shown a yellow card, the Slovak centre back headed in from an Adam Lallana corner to snatch a draw in the seventh minute of added time.

Liverpool 3-3 Arsenal (January 2016)

Early and late goals were on the cards once again at Anfield as Arsenal and Liverpool played out a thrilling 3-3 draw in the midst of Leicester City's historic title-winning season.

Roberto Firmino put the hosts in front after 10 minutes before Aaron Ramsey equalised four minutes later. The Brazilian then found his second before the 20-minute mark ahead of Giroud grabbing a second leveller shortly after.

The Frenchman gave his side their first lead of the game after the break, but as was the case in their previous visit to the red half of Merseyside, the Gunners were stunned by a late equaliser as Joe Allen raced on to a loose ball to volley past Petr Čech.

Liverpool 3-1 Arsenal (March 2017)

Repetitive themes were starting to show for Arsenal as they found themselves on the wrong end of early and late goals once again in a 3-1 defeat to Liverpool.

Firmino added to his impressive tally against the Gunners with a strike inside nine minutes before Sadio Mané doubled his side's advantage just before the break.

Danny Welbeck nicked one back for the visitors near the hour mark, but it wasn't to be as Georginio Wijnaldum fired in a third in the first minute of stoppage time to seal the three points for the Reds.

Liverpool 4-0 Arsenal (August 2017)

Another of Arsenal's embarrasing results at Anfield, they were thrashed 4-0 in what proved to be Wenger's final visit to Liverpool as a manager.

It was once again Firmino who broke the deadlock early on ahead of Mané making it two just before the break. That season's record-breaker Mohamed Salah got in on the act after the break before Sturridge rounded off the scoring in the final stages.

Liverpool 5-1 Arsenal (December 2018)

As Liverpool battled Manchester City for the title and Arsenal went head-to-head with Tottenham for a spot in the Champions League, the former showed their superiority over their North London counterparts with a dominant 5-1 comeback ahead of New Year's.

Ainsley Maitland-Niles put the Gunners ahead against the run of play when he met Alex Iwobi's cross to fire in, but Firmino continued his fine personal record to equalise just minutes later. Arsenal then capitulated as just two minutes after, the Brazilian danced around their defence to turn the tie on its head and put his side in front.

Mané and Salah got in on the act to make it 4-1 before half-time and Firmino then completed his hat-trick as he netted his third goal from the penalty spot in the second-half, sealing another crumbling defeat for Arsenal at Anfield.

Liverpool 3-1 Arsenal (August 2019)

Just three games in to their maiden Premier League title-winning season, Liverpool once again showed the gap in quality as they defeated Arsenal 3-1.

Joël Matip headed in the Reds' opening goal when he rose highest to meet Trent Alexander-Arnold's corner before Salah doubled the advantage from the penalty spot after the break. The Egyptian grabbed his second as he darted from the halfway line to beat David Luiz and fire past Bernd Leno with a sublime solo strike.

Lucas Torreira fired in a late consolation for the Gunners from close range, but it wasn't enough to prevent another defeat on the Anfield turf.

Liverpool 3-1 Arsenal (September 2020)

As Liverpool looked to defend their title, they met Arsenal early on in the season once again, and came away with another 3-1 victory.

Alexandre Lacazette put the Gunners in front in bizarre circumstances when Andy Robertson's miscued clearance looped kindly for him to fire in from close range. However, Mané soon equalised when he was on hand to convert after Leno spilled a shot from Salah.

Robertson made amends for his mistake just minutes after when he collected a cross completely unmarked at the back post and set himself before calmly beating Arsenal's goalkeeper. Diogo Jota then put the seal on victory late on with a debut strike from the edge of the box.

Liverpool 4-0 Arsenal (November 2021)

Arsenal tasted their last embarrasing defeat at Liverpool when they lost 4-0 at Anfield in November 2021, ending a good run of form.

Aaron Ramsdale managed to keep the hosts at bay for some time, but Mané finally broke the deadlock when he met Alexander-Arnold's cross with a header at the back post. Nuno Tavares then killed chances of a Gunners comeback when he played the ball straight to Jota for him to go round two defenders and Ramsdale before firing into an empty net.

Salah added a third from close range after receiving Mané's cross ahead of Takumi Minamino completing the demolition.

Liverpool 2-2 Arsenal (April 2023)

One of the key games that prevented Arsenal from winning the league, they let a two-goal lead slip to draw 2-2 with Liverpool in April 2023.

The Gunners raced into the lead when Gabriel Martinelli poked past Alisson after just eight minutes before Gabriel Jesus headed in from his namesake's cross to double the advantage and put his side in dreamland after half an hour.

However, Salah got his side back in the game just ahead of half-time, and he then missed a penalty for the chance to pull level. Firmino came to the rescue though to grab his last ever strike against Arsenal and break their hearts with a late headed equaliser.

Liverpool 1-1 Arsenal (December 2023)

Another festive meeting between the two sides ended in a 1-1 draw as they geared up for a three-horse title race in the second half of the season.

Arsenal went in front after just four minutes when Gabriel headed in from Martin Ødegaard's free kick, but poor defending allowed Salah to equalise and eventually rescue a point near the half-hour mark.

Liverpool 2-2 Arsenal (May 2025)

As Liverpool had already been crowned champions, Arsenal went to Anfield with the aim of taking a step closer to securing second place and Champions League qualification, managing to do so with a 2-2 draw.

The Reds showed their class to take a 2-0 lead in to the break after Cody Gakpo and Luis Díaz both found the net in the space of two minutes, but the Gunners fought back to snatch a point.

Martinelli nodded in from Leandro Trossard's cross to offer reprieve before Mikel Merino arrived in the perfect place to head in the leveller from Ødegaard's saved effort.

Liverpool 1-0 Arsenal (August 2025)

This game looked to be crucial in the title race as Liverpool won 1-0 to mount an early lead at the top of the table while Arsenal were left wondering if it would be their year.

Dominik Szoboszlai decided the game in the 83rd minute as he fired in a sublime effort from a free kick 32 yards from goal to continue the Reds' positive start to their Premier League title defence.

However, the result proved to be meaningless as the Gunners eventually won the title to end their agonising 22-year wait for glory while poor and inconsistent form meant Liverpool finished fifth in the table, 25 points behind the champions.
