Everton star expected to return for Newcastle clash
Everton boss David Moyes has confirmed Jarrad Branthwaite should be available to face Newcastle after recovering from concussion.
The defender has completed the required recovery period and is expected to be back in contention for the Premier League clash on Monday.
“Jarrad should have recovered from his concussion and also the timescale which we had to abide by,” Moyes said.
Everton face Newcastle for the second time in a matter of days, having beaten them 3-1 in the Carabao Cup at the Hill Dickinson Stadium on Thursday night.
“It’s a different ball game,” Moyes stressed, however.
“We go to St James’ Park on a Monday evening and they’ve got a great crowd up there. So you always know you’re up against it, but we’ll go with confidence.
“We’ve played Newcastle a couple of times this year and done well, so we have to try and continue. But Newcastle have got some really, really good players and players you need to concern yourself about.”
