Euro giants ready to pounce for disillusioned Man Utd talisman who’s out of contract at the end of the season

Galatasaray have reportedly set their sights on a move for Bruno Fernandes ahead of his contract expiring at the end of the season.

As things stand, Manchester United do hold the option of extending his stay by an additional 12 months, which they will likely do in order to avoid him leaving for nothing.

Bruno Fernandes: The state of play

Turkish outlet Fanatik claims that Fernandes has grown disillusioned with his Red Devils future.

Fernandes’ complete record in all competitions for MUFC

He has previously outlined on numerous occasions how he wants to see the side back competing for the biggest honours in club football, yet United are once again on track to be battling it out for a European place and have already exited one competition, the Carabao Cup, at the earliest stage.

It’s said that the United skipper privately agreed with Lisandro Martinez’s post-match comments in Madrid last Tuesday, during which the defender voiced his disappointment with the board’s lack of investment over the summer window.

Will Fernandes decide to pull the curtains on his United tenure?

Reports have also suggested that Fernandes’ contract talks have now reached an impasse, with United actively working to have him agree to an extension so that his long-term future is secure at Old Trafford.

Fans have pointed out that the Portugal star does seem to be cutting a more frustrated and exasperated figure than usual, and Sunday’s stalemate at Elland Road marked a fifth consecutive game without a goal contribution for Fernandes.

It remains to be seen where he would look to ply his trade next, and whether the Super Lig giants could tempt him into a move abroad to play alongside the likes of Ilkay Gundogan, Victor Osimhen and compatriot Rafael Leao.
