Declan Rice reaches 300 Premier League starts – only two players got there younger

Declan Rice reached a milestone at the weekend after making his 300th Premier League start during Arsenal's fixture at Brighton.

Rice's afternoon was one to forget as Arsenal crashed to a 3-0 defeat at the Amex Stadium, though the midfielder did write his name into the history books.

The England international became the third-youngest player in Premier League history to have started 300 games, with only Gareth Barry and Frank Lampard reaching that landmark at a younger age.

Rice is one of only four players to have made 300 starts in the Premier League before turning 28. Remarkably, Rice has only appeared as a substitute in the Premier League on 18 occasions.

He broke into the West Ham United side as a teenager, before becoming a central part of the Arsenal team following his £105m move to the Emirates in 2023.
