Deal close? Sensational playmaker jets into Liverpool
An exciting playmaker could be on his way to Liverpool as Julian Ward might be closing in on his first transfer.
The Reds are ready to dominate not just domestic but European football again. There was once a time when Jurgen Klopp ruled supreme.
That era is long gone. Only a small remnant of it remains, and who knows for how long. Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez and Alisson Becker all have expiring contracts at the end of the season.
All three of them getting extensions is unlikely. The truth is none of that may be staying beyond their current terms.
Instead, Liverpool are building towards a new era. This new era will be led by Andoni Iraola and Ward as the club's new sporting director.
Their mission will be to build a squad and a playing method that gets Liverpool competing right at the very top of the game.
Liverpool's exciting plans to rebuild the team
Right now the club's metamorphosis is already underway. Over the last two years Liverpool have made a concentrated effort to recruit exciting young players in every position.
You can see the make-up of this team. The new faces and new generation. Jeremy Jacquet at the back. Trey Nyoni in midfield. Rio Ngumoha and Bradley Barcola on the wings. Hugo Ekitike upfront, and so many more are coming through.
Ifeanyi Ndukwe and Mor Talla Ndiaye both have exciting potentials.
There's Lucca Brughmanns who is highly rated and he is supported by Armin Pecsi.
Liverpool signed Florian Wirtz as well, who is starting to fulfil expectations. But there's also Samuel Martinez. Erik Farkas and Joshua Abe are both highly rated in the academy as well.
Liverpool on the verge of new signing as Justin Ellis jets in?
The Reds could also be adding a brilliant playmakers to their ranks very soon as well.
On social media CentreKop pointed out that Orlando City striker Justin Ellis recently made a post on TikTok with an image of Liverpool's AXA training ground.
It means that Ellis has likely jetted into Merseyside and paid a visit to the club's training centre. What makes this more interesting is that Ellis' alleged account has now been deleted.
It's all just rumours at the moment. But the account has been tagged as his official account in the past. Including on this interview on TikTok.
So, did he let it slip? Was he not supposed to post this? Or is this someone just having a laugh? It's all speculation at the moment.
But Ellis does make a lot of sense for Liverpool. He is a typical playmaker in attack, with 10 assists this season in the MLS and he's only 19-years-old.
His contract according to Transfermarkt expires in June of next year. Which means there's an opportunity here for Liverpool to get him on a bargain deal.
It's why there's a chance Ellis might just be Ward's first transfer as sporting director. This is a situation to keep a close eye on.
