Dan’s EPL Predictions Week 10: Arsenal to Go Six Clear, But for How Long?

It’s time for another round of Premier League predictions, Gooners, as we head into Week 10 with Arsenal looking to strengthen their position at the top of the table.

After an eventful weekend that saw the Gunners claim a memorable victory at Anfield, attention now turns to another crucial round of fixtures.

There’s also plenty to play for in our Just Arsenal prediction competition, with the race to qualify for the European Cup continuing to take shape.

Here’s how Dan see’s this weekend’s matches unfolding.

Dan’s Premier League Week 10 Predictions

Everton 2-0 Coventry

TV money has meant Everton have had to play on a Monday and then a Friday this week. Broadcasters pay a lot of money for content, so have the right to dictate the schedule that suits them, but they could have cooperated if they wanted to and switched this with one of the weekend’s fixtures.

Not that it should impact the Toffees too much. They were so good at Newcastle that momentum should carry over.

David Moyes isn’t spoilt with creative options, so the fact he’s chosen to leave Jack Grealish out of his last two squads must mean the midfielder’s breach of discipline was serious.

Frank Lampard should get a decent reception back on Merseyside.

Leeds 1-1 Spurs

Here’s an incredible stat…

This is the first time this year that Spurs have been in the top half of the division.

So, at most other points in 2026, I would question if they had the stomach to deal with a trip to Elland Road on a cold November midday.

Arsenal 2-0 Hull

It’s the Gunners’ turn to kick off before our title rivals this weekend, meaning we can send Man City to the City Ground six points behind the league leaders, while Brighton could play on Sunday with that gap at eight points!

Like last season, the current difference between the Champions and the rest is our defensive work off the ball. Compare that with the mistakes Donnarumma and Guehi are making.

The biggest obstacle on Saturday will be ourselves, not being complacent.

Fulham 1-0 Newcastle

Sometimes in sport you need luck you can’t control.

Alvaro Arbeloa was under serious pressure after his first six Premiership fixtures as manager, so facing two newly promoted sides was timely.

Villa Park may have seen Fulham’s best performance of the season last Saturday, which coincided with one of Newcastle’s worst two days later.

When Everton are rocking up at St James’ Park and outplaying you, you’re in trouble.

N Forest 0-1 Man City

Oliver Glasner came out fighting last week, pointing out that Forest’s owners have made the mistake of sacking managers too soon before and that the club needs stability.

Yet the more someone says they are not feeling the pressure means… they are feeling the pressure.

The Austrian realises he can’t keep saying his team is playing well without getting a result. Yet I think that might happen again Saturday night.

Brighton 2-2 Brentford

There are a few clubs playing on Thursday who might struggle to balance Europe with the domestic schedule due to their small squads.

The Seagulls would have been in Spain, while Brentford have had the week off. Because of that, I think the Bees can get a result.

Either way, this should be an entertaining game.

Crystal Palace 0-2 Liverpool

I do think Liverpool at times are the media darlings.

If it had been us who didn’t manage a shot on target at Anfield, it would have been mentioned more.

As much as some of their fans argue it’s a transitional period, their attack cost over £300 million!

There are moments in a season when it’s tough visiting Selhurst Park, but it’s not at this moment.

Ipswich 1-1 Cherries

The Cherries have won their last six games without conceding a goal, so normally I would predict an away win.

Because, though, they have to go away from home three days after being in Prague, I will go for the Tractor Boys being able to get a result.

Sunderland 0-2 Chelsea

The Black Cats play on Thursday, while Chelsea have had over a week to prepare.

A 14-year-old this week handed himself in to the police and admitted to taunting Sunderland fans on social media using a photo of Bradley Lowery.

That’s the six-year-old boy who died of cancer.

I know he’s a child, but I hope the highest possible consequences are handed out to the teenager. We need to educate youngsters that football has zero tolerance towards this kind of behaviour.

Football is a beautiful game, but it’s just a game.

Man United 2-1 Aston Villa

Since their defeat to Bournemouth (and Michael Carrick must know this), the assumption has been that his employers don’t have a plan if they sack him, so are waiting for the international break to give them two weeks to find a suitable contender to be manager.

Such is how the club has been run, it would be very Man United for their players to give a response this weekend, leaving the owners scared to change a winning boss.

I don’t rate Jamie Carragher as a pundit and most of the time agree he’s passive-aggressive, yet Villa threatening legal action over suggestions that they are not as big as United kind of proved his point.

I listened to that episode of The Overlap and, of course, ideally some on the internet could use better language to communicate their point, but I have heard a lot worse.
