Crystal Palace Open to Marc Guehi January Sale as Glasner Admits Exit Possible

Oliver Glasner has admitted that Crystal Palace will sell captain Marc Guehi this month if the right offer arrives.
Guehi saw a move to Liverpool collapse on deadline day last September as Palace failed to bring in a replacement for the centre-back.
The 25-year-old was naturally disappointed that a transfer to Anfield fell through and informed the Eagles he wouldn’t be signing a new deal.
Europe's heavyweights are chasing Guehi
Guehi’s current contract expires at the end of the season and he is free to sign a pre-contract with overseas sides in January.
The likes of Bayern Munich, Inter Milan, Barcelona, Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid have all been credited with an interest in the England international.
The Palace skipper also has Premier League suitors with Liverpool and Manchester City both keen on the centre-back.
City are tipped to firm up their interest in Guehi after Josko Gvardiol suffered a serious injury in Sunday’s 1-1 draw with Chelsea.
Ruben Dias also pulled up with an injury in the stalemate, and Palace boss Glasner has conceded that Guehi may indeed leave Selhurst Park during the winter window.
Glasner makes Guehi admission
“I'm not naive. If a massive offer comes from City and Marc wants to do it, it will happen,” Glasner said, as reported by The Times and The Athletic.
“If you're just valuing sports, everyone in the club will say Marc has to stay. The chairman will tell you the same. But it's not one-dimensional. If you see the financial situation, it's very important.
“If somebody comes, there will be a moment when the club says 'now the financial issue is more important than the sports issue'.
“There will be a threshold where the club has to say it will happen - as long as Marc says 'I want to leave', because the final decision is always with the player.”
“The chairman rejected many offers in the summer because we want to play a successful season and wanted to win the Community Shield.
“Therefore, Marc is important, and then he rejected the offer.
“The threshold at that time, the money we got offered was not above it. Maybe it was close, but it was not above.”
Palace looking to bounce back against Villa
Guehi is expected to start for Palace when the Eagles welcome in-form Aston Villa to Selhurst Park on Wednesday night.
Glasner’s side have plummeted down the Premier League table having lost four of their last five games.
Villa, meanwhile, have won nine of their last 10 league matches following their 3-1 victory over Nottingham Forest on Saturday.
