Noni Madueke has been Arsenal's most improved player this season. It appears that the former Chelsea man is getting better with each passing gameweek, and he just keeps proving his biggest critics wrong.

Time and time again, Madueke has been ridiculed for lacking an end product. He's become known as the winger who has all the dribbling ability in the world, but cannot provide the technical ability required for goals or assists. This season, he has turned his biggest weakness into his biggest strength.

Chelsea could live to regret selling Noni Madueke to Arsenal

Chelsea made a mistake by selling Noni Madueke to Arsenal, point blank. It's not a mistake they'll lose sleep over, or a mistake they'll even notice, but it was a mistake nonetheless.

The Blues have a pretty nifty attack. In fact, their attack is perhaps the most exciting in the Premier League, alongside Man City and Brighton. That said, Madueke could've made a case to start for Chelsea if he stuck around.

The truth is that Chelsea valued profit over progress. They gave Madueke 67 league appearances to prove himself, and despite showing encouraging signs, they jumped at the chance of making a profit on him.

Of course, it's not a sale that Chelsea fans will regret... at least not right away. As mentioned, they're not exactly lacking a Madueke in the attacking department, but the principle of the sale is what should be scary.

Madueke just keeps getting better and better at Arsenal, and Mikel Arteta is giving him all the trust in the world. He has played on both wings this season, and he's starting to add more goals to his game now.

Against Liverpool at Anfield, Madueke was quietly Arsenal's best player. It wasn't a game where the Gunners were given license to attack, but despite being penned back by the rampant Liverpool attack, no player on the pitch created more chances than Madueke. He also had the highest xA (expected assists) of any player at Anfield that day.

Chelsea has a long, unwanted history of regretting their sold players. Fans have every right to question why they sold Madueke. In a sale that might have felt like easy money at the time, Madueke is heading in the right direction of proving Chelsea wrong, while simultaneously vindicating Arsenal for spending the money.

Arsenal can already start feeling like they got the better end of the deal.
