Michael Carrick has addressed the media this afternoon to provide some insight into his team options for tomorrow.

Manchester United return to action with a home clash against Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday evening.

Who’ll be absent for United vs Spurs?

The manager has confirmed that he will have to make do without three players, with Benjamin Sesko, Patrick Dorgu and Noussair Mazraoui all ruled out.

Sesko suffered a re-aggravation of his shin injury just before the international break, which led to him missing the draw away to Fulham.

Dorgu then sustained a non-contact problem while playing for Denmark, resulting in him having to leave his nation’s camp and return to Carrington for assessments.

Carrick has said the defender-turned-winger will be out ‘for a number of weeks’.

As for Mazraoui, he was spotted writhing in pain after coming off worse in a collision during Morocco’s African Cup of Nations qualifier against Lesotho, with Carrick adding the full-back ‘took a knock’ and is ‘not quite right’.

However, on a more positive note, he told reporters that Marcus Rashford and Kobbie Mainoo, who pulled out of the England squad, will be available, as well as Amad Diallo.

Amad has yet to feature this term following an injury that he picked up in pre-season, so he’ll be chomping at the bit to finally get some minutes under his belt.

Carrick also noted that summer signing Carlos Baleba, who is awaiting his competitive debut, is ‘improving’ and has ‘trained a lot’, having just recovered from an ankle ligament setback.

Kick-off is at 5.30pm at Old Trafford.
