Carrick confirms Man Utd injury blow
Manchester United boss Michael Carrick has confirmed Carlos Baleba is set to be sidelined for a number of weeks through injury.
Baleba will remain out beyond the upcoming international break, with Carrick saying United are still waiting to establish an exact timeframe for his return after he was forced off against Roma.
“Carlos, we don’t know exactly, but it will be a number of weeks,” Carrick said.
“It won’t be any time over the international break. It will be a bit longer than that.”
Carrick also provided an update on Patrick Dorgu, who has started to make a gradual return to training after his recent hamstring problem.
“Patrick has done a little bit of training this week. Very, very small,” Carrick said.
“We have got to be patient with Pat.
“He has had a good period of time now, a couple of hamstrings that we have to manage and be patient with that over the next couple of weeks.”
Dorgu could yet be involved this weekend, although Carrick says a late decision will be made.
“He is slowly getting back with us, so we will have to see if he can be involved with us at the weekend or not.”
