Carabao Cup quarter-final draw: Liverpool host Bournemouth as Fleetwood await Everton or Newcastle
Andoni Iraola will come up against his former club after Liverpool were drawn at home to Bournemouth in the quarter-finals of the Carabao Cup.
The draw was made on Wednesday, the same night Liverpool beat Chelsea on penalties at Anfield to reach the last eight.
The biggest story of the round, though, belongs to Fleetwood Town. The League Two side knocked out Arsenal on penalties on Tuesday, and their reward is another home tie against Premier League opposition.
Fleetwood wait on Everton or Newcastle
Fleetwood will face the winner of Thursday's fourth-round meeting between Everton and Newcastle United. Their win over Arsenal, who lost last season's final and are the reigning Premier League champions, came with the club sitting 18th in League Two.
Holders Manchester City also needed a shootout to get past Brighton on Wednesday, and Pep Guardiola's side have been paired with League One Bradford City. The Bantams, beaten finalists in 2013, booked their place with a 2-0 win over Peterborough.
The remaining quarter-final is an all-Premier League affair between Crystal Palace and Sunderland. Eddie Nketiah scored the only goal as Palace won at Fulham, while Sunderland edged out Brentford 3-2.
