Aston Villa defender a doubt for Man Utd gamw

Aston Villa boss Unai Emery says Aaron Wan-Bissaka faces a late fitness test ahead of Sunday’s trip to Manchester United.

The right-back has missed Villa’s last five matches since mid-October but could return at Old Trafford if he comes through training without any problems.

“Aaron is close and tomorrow we’ll see if he’s training normally and feeling good,” Emery said.

Villa will definitely be without Matty Cash, who serves a one-match suspension after picking up his fifth booking of the season in last weekend’s 1-1 draw with Fulham.

Matteo Ruggeri and Amadou Onana also remain sidelined through injury.

“Ruggeri is still working alone but he’s progressing well,” Emery added.

“Onana is long injured.

“I think the other players are available.”
