Arsenal didn't only end their long Anfield hoodoo with their 1-0 win away to Liverpool on Sunday, but they also joined an exclusive Premier League club that boasts just one other member.

The Gunners nicked three points from the red half of Merseyside as Kai Havertz's first-half strike and a resilient defensive display proved to be decisive in securing a first victory at one of the league's hardest grounds to travel to.

While ending the 14-year winless run will rightly dominate the headlines, fans will be delighted to know that Arsenal also recorded their 300th away win in the Premier League with Sunday's triumph at Anfield, joining Manchester United as the only two clubs to achieve the feat.

Arsenal record 300th Premier League away win with Liverpool victory

As Arsenal claimed their first victory on the Anfield turf in 14 years, they also celebrated hitting 300 away wins in the Premier League as just the second club to ever do so.

Only Man United, who the Gunners regularly battled with for the title in the late 1990s and early 2000s, have managed more triumphs on the road with 328 wins to their name.

Coincidentally, Arsenal's first ever win in the top flight came at Liverpool in August 1992, just three games in to the inaugural season of the Premier League. After losing 1-0 to Blackburn Rovers days before, the Gunners travelled to Anfield and took a 2-0 win courtesy of goals from Anders Limpar and Ian Wright.

The North Londoners have enjoyed some brilliant victories on the road throughout the Premier League era, including two that saw them win the title away from home.

The Gunners travelled to title rivals United in May 2002 and came away with a 1-0 victory to steal the prize from the grasp of Alex Ferguson and his side. Sylvain Wiltord netted the decisive goal in that game.

Two years later, Arsenal then won the Premier League title away to Tottenham as their 2-2 draw at White Hart Lane was enough for them to claim the trophy on their way to completing the 2003/04 season without losing a single league game.

Mikel Arteta has overseen notable away victories in the league during his tenure, starting with his first in June 2020, a 2-0 triumph at Southampton. Just a few months later, he oversaw the Gunners' first league win at Old Trafford since 2006, and the first on the road to a fellow 'big six' side since 2015.

He has also managed four consecutive wins at Tottenham, between the 2022/23 and 2025/26 seasons, as well as taking charge of Arsenal's biggest ever Premier League away win with a 6-0 victory at West Ham in February 2024, a record equalled a month later away to Sheffield United.

Arsenal's latest away win has landed them in the history books of England's top flight as only one of two clubs to achieve 300 wins on the road, and fans will be fancying their side's chances of overtaking United at the top, considering the contrasting situations the two clubs find themselves in.
