Arsenal have been told by insider Gianluca Di Marzio amid their interest in Juventus forward Kenan Yildiz that if they're to land him in future, they'll have to pay €150million.
The Gunners tried and failed to make a marquee attacking signing in the summer. Yildiz was among a number of big names they tracked, along with Julian Alvarez and Vinicius Junior to name a few.
After their failure to secure a top attacker in the summer, it's suggested that either in January or next summer, Arsenal will be going back to the table.
Reports continue to link Yildiz with a move to the Emirates, and Di Marzio tells Bet365 that his potential transfer would cost a bomb.
He said: "Another potential surprise could be Kenan Yıldız. Last summer, Juventus received massive enquiries - some reaching triple figures - from clubs like Arsenal and Tottenham, but Juve never entertained them.
"The next €100m-plus young star - or rather, a player well past the €100m mark - has to be Yıldız. If Juventus ever decide to cash in, it would definitely be for a massive triple-figure fee.
"We're not talking €110m or €120m, but something much closer to €150m. So, if I have to name one player guaranteed to break the €100m barrier if he moves, it's Juventus' Yıldız."
Arsenal swap deal no longer viable
TEAMtalk reported in the summer when Arsenal were looking for ways to finance a deal for Yildiz that there had been conversations over a swap deal.
Both Gabriel Jesus and Gabriel Martinelli were named as players who had come up during talks with Juventus.
But with both of those players now having moved on from the Emirates, if there was to be a makeweight in a deal, it would have to be somebody else.
Viktor Gyokeres' availability is reported more and more at the moment, so he could be an option, if Juve were to accept cash plus a player.
But given Di Marzio's reveal, it doesn't feel like that is going to happen.
Indeed, there was an insistence in the summer that Yildiz was not for sale, and with a huge price tag protecting him now, that stance essentially remains.
But with Arsenal long-term admirers of the Turkish international, they might well continue to pursue him.
