Mikel Arteta has confirmed that Declan Rice, Riccardo Calafiori and Christos Tzolis have all trained ahead of Arsenal's trip to Liverpool this weekend.

Arsenal head to Anfield on Sunday for a huge Premier League fixture. The Gunners are aiming to bounce back from a midweek Carabao Cup exit and end a 13-game winless run in away league games at Liverpool

Arteta has provided an update on his squad ahead of the clash. Tzolis has not featured in the Premier League since the defeat at Brighton last month due to a thigh issue. Calafiori and Rice's minutes have also been managed due to issues in recent games.

Speaking at his pre-match press conference, Arteta said the trio are all available: "They all trained today, they will train tomorrow and if everything is OK then they will be available."

Arteta did confirm that Noni Madueke is a doubt, while Bukayo Saka remains sidelined. A timeline on the latter's return has not been determined.

"We do not know yet. We have a training session tomorrow so we will see if he [Madueke] can complete the full session and after that we will know if he is available."

On Saka, he added: "He needed another scan to see the amount and if the tendon was touched and how badly it was touched and afterwards, we will know more about it."

Arteta disappointed as Arsenal appeal against Dowman red card rejected

Arsenal will be without Max Dowman, following the 16-year-old's red card at Fleetwood in midweek. The Gunners have seen an appeal against Dowman's suspension rejected.

"Very disappointed to be fair, especially with the reckless tackles he received," Arteta said.

"His reaction is minimum in relation to the action. I'm disappointed that it has not been overturned.

"It is what it is. We have put every argument on the table to make a case for it. The action is so evident. Obviously we have a very different opinion and on top of that I think you have to read the context of the player, the age and what happened previously.

"It could have been really bad. We are lucky today that he hasn't had a broken foot, that is clear."
